Autism & Relationships: Understanding Relationships as an Autistic Adult is a self-paced educational course for autistic adults and adults exploring whether they may be autistic.
The course includes recorded lessons, interactive tools, quizzes, activities and downloadable resources covering communication, dating, emotional connection, conflict, boundaries and relationship patterns.
The course is created and presented by South African psychologists with experience in adult autism, relationships and neurodiversity.
The course presenters include Chael Nel, Kevin Naidu, Brenton Thornton and Athenea Faye.
The course description, intended audience, learning objectives, presenters, content, price and access period are provided on the course sales page.
The educational objectives of the course are to provide general psychology-informed information about relationship needs, communication differences, emotional processing, dating, conflict, boundaries and emotional safety, and to provide reflection tools that participants may use to increase self-understanding and support constructive relationship conversations. This course is for educational purposes only.
Completing this course does not provide a professional qualification, certification, registration or clinical competency. It does not qualify a participant to practise psychology, provide psychological services, conduct psychological assessments, diagnose any person or claim professional competencies arising from participation in the course.
3. Educational purpose
This course is provided for educational and informational purposes only.
It is not therapy, psychological treatment, couples therapy, crisis support, medical advice, diagnosis, assessment or personalised clinical advice. It is not a substitute for individual professional care.
Participation does not create a psychologist-client relationship with Michael Nel, Spectrum Centre or any course presenter or contributor.
The information provided is general and may not be suitable for every person, relationship, circumstance, country or legal jurisdiction.
The presenters are registered as psychologists in South Africa. They do not represent themselves as licensed or registered practitioners outside South Africa.
